How the Lock in page for STX handles what it reads.
What this page reads from STX
With your consent, given on STX's own page: your STX user id, account id, handle and avatar; your balance; your open positions; and your orders. Positions and balance are read when you open the page and kept for at most fifteen seconds.
What it writes
Only the orders you tap: one sell for part of a position you hold, and, if you choose to leave early, one buy of the same contracts. Nothing else is ever placed. Every order is attributed to this app in your STX order history.
What it stores
- The connection token STX issues, sealed (AES-GCM) on our server and deleted when you disconnect here or revoke the app on STX.
- A record of each lock: the market, the size, the prices, the times.
It never stores your STX login, a payment method or money. Your funds stay in your STX account at all times.
The public record
Each lock is also written to a public record in neutral words (the market, the size, the prices) with no account id, handle or name.
Who else sees it
No one. No analytics, no advertising, nothing sold or shared. Pricing a lock reads other venues' public order books; none of your data is sent to them.
Your session
A random id in an HttpOnly cookie, kept 180 days, so the page knows which connection is yours. No tracking cookies.
Your control
Disconnect on the page, or revoke the app on STX; either ends our access at once and deletes the token. Write to michael@atticustrade.com to have lock records that name your alias removed from our server; the public record keeps its neutral entries.
Who we are
Atticus, a third party. This is not a product of STX.
